Region 2 News You Don’t Want to Miss!

ACUI Region 2 is proud to offer a scholarship, supporting one undergraduate student to attend the 2012 I-LEAD® Institute, being held July 15-20, 2012, at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. The scholarship will cover the cost of registration for the student to attend.

The Institute for Leadership Education and Development (I-LEAD®) is ACUI's premier student program, designed to emphasize the key concept areas of leadership, community development, and change. I-LEAD® offers an opportunity for the college students to focus on personal growth and other issues facing our world. The institute prepares students to develop skills that will serve them as leaders in any situation, regardless of role, organization, or environment.

For those students interested in attending, please fill out the attached application and return it by Thursday, May 24.  Please note that the student chosen for the scholarship will be responsible for all expenses outside of what is included in the cost of registration.  The student chosen will be notified no later than June 12, 2012.

Volunteer Position Available- Deadline May 25th

We are excited to share that there is an open volunteer opportunity available within the Regional Leadership Team for Region 2. Being a part of our Regional Leadership Team is not only a great way to network and develop professionally, but also a great way to build strong connections across our region. Whether you are new to the profession or a veteran in the field, everyone is encouraged to apply for this position!

Current volunteer opportunity includes:
- Educational Programs Coordinator (one to two positions available for this volunteer opportunity)
