Duncan MacLellan Outstanding Student Award
This award is for an outstanding student member of Region 2 who has demonstrated the Role of the College Union through their undergraduate or graduate work and commitment to the Region. 

Criteria:

  • Exemplifies the core values of ACUI, which are unconditional human worth, joy, learning, caring community, innovation, communication, integrity, initiative-self motivated.
  • Three examples of ways the nominee has exemplified “The Role of the College Union.” Examples may include ACUI work, coursework, student leadership positions, presentations and programs.
  • Additional Comments (examples may include an interest in working in a college union after graduation, student positions in ACUI, conference attendance, etc).
  • Student must be a full time student in good standing with their undergraduate institution.

Audrey Hozack New Professional Award
This award is for an outstanding new professional who has demonstrated support to the region by involvement in the educational councils, leadership team, or by hosting regional events or tournaments.

Criteria:

  • A new professional (2-3 three years) whose career began in ACUI Region 2
  • Three examples of how the nominee has supported the region
  • Exemplifies the core values of ACUI, which are unconditional human worth, joy, learning, caring community, innovation, communication, integrity, initiative-self motivated.

Edgar A. Whiting Award (formerly the Hall of Fame Award)
This is an award to an outstanding member of Region 2 who has consistently performed above and beyond the call of duty

Criteria:

  • Exemplifies the core values of ACUI, which are unconditional human worth, joy, learning, caring community, innovation, communication, integrity, initiative-self motivated.
  • Demonstrates exceptional commitment and support of other colleagues and to the Association.
  • Continually volunteers in the Regional activities, councils, and programs.
  • Offers professional expertise to the Region “free of charge” to help advance the mission of the Association and Region.

Outstanding Community Building Program
Awarded to a program that fosters the enhancement of the campus community

Criteria:

  • Clearly stated program objectives
  • Submission of assessment data/evaluation materials
  • Supporting documentation (publicity material, photographs, student testimonials)
  • Institution must be an ACUI member

Outstanding Undergraduate Student Employee
Awarded to an active undergraduate student employee who embodies dedicated work ethic in the student union/student activities office

Criteria:       

  • Enrolled in Bachelor degree granting program of study
  • Employed in a Student Union/Student Activities Office
  • Exemplifies the core values of the association
  • Role Model for peer

Outstanding Graduate Student Employee
Awarded to a diligent graduate student employee who embodies dedicated work ethic in the student union/student activities field

Criteria:

  • Enrolled in Masters degree granting program of study
  • Employed in a Student Union/Student Activities Office
  • Exemplifies the core values of the association
  • Role Model for peers and student

Professional Service Award
Awarded to a passionate professional who embodies dedicated work ethic in the student union/student activities office

Criteria:

  • Employed full-time in a Student Union/Student Activities Office
  • Exemplifies the core values of the association
  • Role model for peers and students
