Help ACUI identify potential leaders to advance the organization by serving on the Board of Trustees.
Association leading volunteer positions require a commitment of two or more years, except for student positions which have a one-year term. Over the course of the term, volunteers should anticipate at least four hours of conference call and project work per month, in addition to attending in-person ACUI Leadership Team meetings.
Those in association leading positions must have: full-time employment at a higher education institution; institutional membership; a signed institutional support form; and a commitment to fulfilling the duties of the position for the length of the term.
Students in association leading positions must be: a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student who is not a full-time employee at the institution; involved in a college union/student activities department; not set to graduate the upcoming May or August; committed to fulfilling the duties of the position for the length of the term.
To advance the strategic goals of ACUI, individuals in an association leading position shall not serve in any additional leading, planning, or serving volunteer positions. If selected or elected for an association leading position, individuals shall resign from other positions, except by specific approval of the Board of Trustees. Approval will not be granted by the Board of Trustees for any combination of roles that pose a fiduciary conflict of interest. Association leading volunteers are welcome to participate in additional contributing and engaging opportunities.
